FS Docs, the web-based legal documentation division of London-based law firm MW Cornish, has launched new additions to its service and has announced a new pricing policy.

The FS Docs service was launched in November 2002. FS Docs is an innovative online service designed to cut the cost of legal advice and document production, typically by 30-50 per cent.

MW Cornish founder Martin Cornish said: "FS Docs does not offer mere precedents or example documents but, using sophisticated questionnaires, provides documents, advice and information designed to meet the specific needs and requirements of managers and their advisers."

Mr Cornish added: "We are able to offer these services at a vastly reduced rate due to our state of the art IT facilities. Questionnaires elicit all the information we need and avoid expensive face to face meetings.  Secondly, we have linked all the answers to the Questionnaires to a proprietary database which constructs the document, advice or information required with limited human interface thus saving significant time and cost."

The new additions to the FS Docs service cover documentation on derivatives, managed futures and commodity funds. In addition to these new sections, the site covers "Establishing Hedge Funds" and "Establishing Investment Management Operations" and related UK FSA/Compliance issues, including authorisation applications for securities, commodities and derivatives brokers and dealers as well as fund managers, advisors and arrangers.

MW Cornish has also introduced a new pricing policy for the service. Mr Cornish said: " All documents purchased through FS Docs are for fixed quoted prices.  In addition, we will henceforth agree a fixed price for any and all follow-up work.  So, if you want to launch a fund, not only will we produce draft documents for fixed prices, but based on the information provided and against an agreed timetable, we will quote a fixed price for all work through to and including the launch of the fund."

The FS Docs website will shortly be expanded to cover traditional equity & debt funds and private equity and property funds will follow. For a full list visit www.fsdocs.com.
