Douse to move from Watson Wyatt to Schroder

London-based Schroder Investment Management has appointed Susan Douse as Global Head of Product Management and Consultant Relationships.


Douse joins Schroders in March 2004 from Watson Wyatt, where, as a partner, she headed up their Global Investment Management Consulting Team, which includes the Global Asset Study.


Massimo Tosato, Schroders’ Global Head of Distribution, said: "Susan will have a pivotal role in the strategic positioning of our product range to ensure we are able to meet and also anticipate client needs going forward."


With the growth of the Global Asset Study, Douse has focused on researching international asset management industry trends and advising financial institutions on a range of issues, including strategic positioning, assessment of investment capabilities, M&A due diligence and integration work.  She joined Watson Wyatt as a senior investment consultant in 1993.


Prior to joining Watson Wyatt, Douse established the international manager research department at SEI Corporation, working with North American clients where manager structure and selection was a key element of her work.


Douse began her investment career with a money manager in Cape Town, Alan Gray Investment Counsel. She was born and schooled in Zimbabwe and has been living in the UK since 1986.


Schroders is a global asset management company with £95.5 (E138.95 / USD 161.70) billion under management as at 31st October 2003.  Its clients include corporations, insurance companies, local and public authorities, charities, pension funds, high net worth individuals and retail investors.
