The Macro Index recorded a strong gain of 0.41% to lead the field among the HFRX Indices in the week ended 23 March 2004.

The Relative Value Arbitrage and Equity Market Neutral Indices each recorded a gain of 0.24% to take joint second position.

The most sluggish performer over the week was the Equity Hedge Index which dropped -1.10% followed by the Merger Arbitrage Index, which dropped -0.55% over the week.
