Miserey will be responsible for maintaining the firm’s external manager relationships, both existing and new, together with on-going client service responsibilities and in-house market and fund analysis. In addition, he will continue to assist Robert Hissom, founding partner of Aspen, with compliance and operational oversight of the firm, and assist with the firm’s continued growth and development.
Prior to joining Aspen, Miserey spent ten years marketing fixed income products and derivatives for leading financial institutions, three years managing and overseeing in excess of USD 15bn in various long only credit funds for Commerzbank and one year with GLG Partners setting up their structured credit portfolio and implementing long/short credit strategies.
“Sven’s appointment builds on the foundations we started back in April 2004 and consolidates Aspen’s aims to continue to expertly assist our clients in determining their optimal investment strategy in alternative fund management, based on their inherent risk return profiles, their capital preservation and performance goals, and through pro-active monitoring of market conditions and fund performances leading to pre-emptive asset allocation suggestions to assist that process,” said Hissom. “Sven’s expertise and experience in these very areas will allow us to better understand and respond to our clients’ needs, and to match those with the select group of fund managers we have hand-picked to perform to our expectations.”
