Platinum Capital Management has appointed Bina Sanghvi as the company's new Director and Chief Operating Officer. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Sanghvi was formerly the Group Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Attica Alternative Investments Group, a fund of hedge funds. Her prior experience included stints as Investment Operations Director of Gensec International (a Group Company of Sanlam), and as the Finance Director and Compliance Director at Quaestor Investment Management.

"We are delighted to have Bina on board," said Platinum Chairman Peter Sprecher. "She brings over 15 years of management experience in hedge fund and fund of fund operations, which will be invaluable to us as our business grows."
