Dow Jones Indexes has made a component change in the Dow Jones Sector Titans Telecommunications 30 Index.


TDC A/S (Denmark) will replace Nextel Communications Inc (United States), which is being deleted as a result of an acquisition by Sprint Corp.


The changes came into effect at the start of business on Monday, 15 August 2005.


STOXX, Ltd has also announced changes in the composition of the Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 index, the Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index, the Dow Jones STOXX 600 Index and its sector indexes, the Dow Jones EU Enlarged Total Market Index and the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index.


Effective as of the opening of European markets on September 19, 2005 the following six stocks will be added to the Dow Jones STOXX 600 and its respective size and sector indexes: Gaz de France (France, Utilities); PartyGaming (Great Britain, Travel & Leisure); Inmarsat (Great Britain, Telecommunications); Lundin Petroleum (Sweden, Oil & Gas); C&C Group (Ireland, Food & Beverage); and Stork (Netherlands, Industrial Goods & Services).


Companies exiting the index are: Henderson Group (Great Britain, Financial Services); Cookson Group (Great Britain, Industrial Goods & Services); Dairy Crest Group (Great Britain, Food & Beverage); Amlin (Great Britain, Insurance); OMX AB (Sweden, Financial Services), and M-Real-B (Finland, Basic Resources).


The market sectors for the following Dow Jones STOXX 600 components will change: Thomson (France) from Personal & Household Goods to Media; Safran (France) from Technology to Industrial Goods & Services; Julius Baer N (Switzerland) from Banks to Financial Services; Investec (Great Britain) from Banks to Financial Services; Close Brothers Group (Great Britain) from Banks to Financial Services; Trelleborg AB B (Sweden) from Automobiles & Parts to Industrial Goods & Services.


As of July 29, 2005 the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX 600 increased from EUR 5495.81 billion to EUR 5504.26 billion, while the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index increased from EUR 5859.63 billion to EUR 5883.14 billion and the reconstituted Dow STOXX Football index remained at EUR 708.35 million.


The Dow Jones STOXX Football Index will remain unchanged.


The Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 and the Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index are also part of this regular quarterly review. The new composition of the indexes can be found at http://www.stoxx.com/info/reports/reviews2005.html


As of July 29, 2005 the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 index increased from EUR 18078.73 billion to EUR 18115.45 billion, and of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index decreased from EUR 59.53 billion to EUR 59.05 billion.
