Platinum Capital Management has announced the listing of three of its funds on the Luxembourg Stock exchange.

The Platinum All Weather (launched April 2003) focuses on low volatility alternative investment strategies, the Platinum All Star is a fund-of-funds funds aiming for exceptional performance from a range of leading managers employing both directional and non-directional strategies, and Platinum Premier addresses various strategies within the fixed income space (re-opened to investment in June 2005).

‘Luxembourg listing allows us to sell funds directly in the majority of EU member states and, in particular, enables European pension funds to invest,’ says Peter Sprecher, founder and chairman of the Platinum Group. ‘In broad terms, the listings establish greater and wider investor acceptance of these funds.’

In a separate development, the recently launched Platinum Europe Select Fund has become the Group’s tenth fund to receive approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for investment by approved investors in Singapore in US Dollar and Euro Shares.

Platinum Europe Select focuses on investment in special situations, particularly in French equities.

‘Platinum is fully committed to the Far East,’ says Craig Reeves, Managing Director of Platinum Capital Management. ‘We have affiliated offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore and this latest MAS approval enables us, in particular, to extend the strong business ties we have with the Singapore investment community.’
