Tiberius Asset Management Ltd, an investment company that focuses on active management in attractive asset classes, has expanded its team with two key hires.

Sandra Bachofer (27) will strengthen the expert team in the area of fund research, fund analysis and fund administration.

‘We are delighted to have recruited Sandra for our team,’ says Markus Mezger. fund manager and one of the partners at Tiberius Asset Management Ltd. ‘We know each other for many years and successfully worked together before.’

Bachofer studied economy and will be supporting Tiberius in the area of portfolio management, research and administration.

‘We continue to adapt our back-office infrastructure to our further expansion’, adds Mezger. 
 
In the Geneva subsidiary, Matthieu Bosser (28) has joined the firm as Multi-Strategy Portfolio Manager and Analyst.

In his previous role he was responsible for the selection of commodity fund managers and was head of the commodities department at an independent research house. At Tiberius he will be managing a Multi Strategy CTA Fund of Fund, which is currently in the registration process. The investment strategy of the fund will be based on a proprietary model covering three styles: Relative
Value, Short term trading and trend following, and two trading approaches: Systematic and discretionary.

Tiberius, a specialist in active commodities fund management, does not expect to see the commodities trend reach its climax for several years yet.

Background note: Tiberius Asset Management Ltd is based in Zug, Switzerland with representative offices in Stuttgart, Geneva and in Zurich. The company was founded in 2005 by Markus Mezger and Christoph Eibl. TAM combines many years’ experience in commodity trading and portfolio management. Both founding members are acknowledged commodities experts who can look back on successful track records with their respective former employers. Markus Mezger was previously responsible for global investment strategy in the stock and commodities division at the Baden Württembergischen Bank AG. He also managed special funds in the commodities sector. Christoph Eibl’s last position was that of Vice President of the commodities team at DresdnerKleinwortWasserstein, where he was active on a global basis in the fields of precious metal and commodities transactions. Trading in mine hedging with hedge funds and commodities investors has contributed to his solid past experience. Both are renowned authors of several trade publications and books for the commodities sector.
