Wall Street posted a gain of some 50 points last night as investors focused on earnings and talk of potential package of diplomatic measures
Wed, 19/07/2006 - 06:08
Crude Oil prices retreated in the session and the market took a higher than expected PPI number in its stride .
In Asia the Nikkei is up around 1.2 % this morning but a sell off in commodities such as copper has left the mining heavy Aussie markets lower.
Despite this and the news that Israeli troops are now active on the ground in Lebanon the UK Market is called to open some 25 points higher .
This mornings session will test the resolve and strength of the bulls, needing to keep the 5640 support level in the FTSE futures intact, although many investors may well use any rallies as selling opportunities.
