The NASDAQ was also able to rally with the broader composite index up over 2%.  The buoyant mood carried over into Asia  where the Nikkei is up 210 points.  Aussie markets have finished in positive mode helped by by a decent set of numbers from Biliton.  London also enjoyed a 114 point rise taking us back above 5800 and testing  key resistance in the FTSE we have had a quite a busy morning on the UK corporate news front much of it positive and as I write we are called up 15 points on the open.

The question now is can we over come and stay above levels such as 5843 in September futures  and can this momentum be maintained?
