GreenStream Ltd has been awarded an investment management mandate for a new specialised managed futures fund, GreenStream MF Ltd Cayman.

GreenStream stated that the mandate is based on its track record of managed accounts 24.3% YTD (31st August 2006) with a historic Sharpe ratio of 2.9. The product is orientated to appeal to existing hedge fund investors, as well as traditional asset managers as an allocation opportunity, due to its non-correlation with traditional asset classes and other managed futures strategies.

GreenStream's principal investment objective is to produce positive absolute returns in excess of the reference index 'Credit Suisse/Tremont Managed Futures Index', whilst restricting associated risks, by using a portfolio approach to increase the quality of returns.

The quantitative algorithms used by GreenStream identify imbalances between economic variables and market positioning. The models are intended to take profits or limit losses with the right timing and to self-impose limits on the amount which may be invested.
