Appleby Hunter Bailhache has changed its name to Appleby with effect from 1 April 2007.

When Appleby Spurling Hunter combined with Jersey-based Bailhache Labesse last year, the firm announced that they would use the combined name of Appleby Hunter Bailhache until 31 March 2007. Appleby will be now become the global brand identity of the firm.

Appleby has experienced dramatic expansion in recent years, and as the group entered into mergers with other firms it combined names to build on local market reputations and to reinforce an understanding of the group’s services.  Appleby is now a significant global service provider in the offshore markets and the Appleby name will signify the international nature of its services.

Commenting on the new group name, Peter Bubenzer, global managing partner said: ‘We are very proud of our heritage and the energy and skill of those who created and developed the firms that ultimately became part of the global Appleby organisation.  However, as the group expands and operates in new markets, the Appleby name will become increasingly significant as the brand identity by which we express the breadth and quality of our legal, fiduciary and administrative services worldwide.’
