Morgan Stanley's McVey joins Fortress Investment Group
Henry H McVey has left Morgan Stanley, where he was a managing director and chief US investment strategist, to join Fortress Investment Group, where he will be based in the New York office as a managing director leading Fortress's new business efforts focused on deep value public equity investing.
McVey has spent 12 years with Morgan Stanley's equity research department. Says Fortress chief executive and chairman Wesley R. Edens: 'Henry is a very talented individual and recognized as a leading investment strategist. We believe that he will be a great addition as we continue to build our equity investment products.'
Founded in 1998 and a public company since earlier this year, Fortress is a leading global alternative asset manager with some USD36bn in assets under management at the end of March in private equity funds, hedge funds and publicly traded alternative investment vehicles.
