Lehman Brothers has appointed Richard Atterbury and Philippe Dufournier as co-heads for Europe of global finance, which incorporates the firm’s origination and risk solutions efforts for investment banking clients including equity capital markets, debt capital markets and leveraged finance. Atterbury and Dufournier will report to Larry Wieseneck, head of global finance, and to Perry Hoffmeister and Christian Meissner, co-heads of investment banking for Europe.

Atterbury joined Lehman in 2005 after six years at Morgan Stanley. In addition to his new responsibilities, he will continue in his existing role as global co-head of financial sponsors investment banking, a business that under his joint leadership has advised on various large private equity deals. Dufournier joined Lehman in 2001 after 12 years at Bankers Trust, and since 2003 has been head of the fixed income solutions group, in charge of delivering derivative solutions and asset and liability management advice to financial institutions and pension funds.

New York-based SkyBridge Capital, which provides strategic capital to emerging hedge fund managers has appointed Scott Prince, a former partner at Eton Park Capital Management and Goldman Sachs, as a managing partner alongside the firm’s founder Anthony Scaramucci. Over the past year and a half, SkyBridge has provided seven new hedge funds with nearly USD330 million.

At Eton Park from its launch in 2004 to last December, Prince was global head of trading and the fund’s derivatives business, and was responsible for building its global trading platform and risk infrastructure. He was previously co-head of equities trading and co-head of global equity derivatives at Goldman, having become a partner in 1998, and served on the firm’s finance committee as well as the equity division’s risk and operating committees.

Evan Wein has also joined SkyBridge’s management committee as a senior partner. He previously worked at Merrill Lynch between 1982 and 2000, becoming a managing director and head of global high yield sales and a member of the fixed-income management committee. Subsequently Wein oversaw investment strategies at two money management firms he founded, taking charge of the managed option and fixed income portfolios at Coventry Capital, and managing a high-yield debt and equity fund at Lucerne Partners.

Alternative investment manager Ermitage Group has appointed Todd Scanlon as managing director for institutional sales to raise the firm’s profile in the global institutional marketplace.
He was previously head of the global distribution team at ABN Amro, managing a number of the division’s top clients with responsibility for developing and implementing the bank’s global sales strategy.

Scanlon, who earlier held senior sales roles with Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan, developed ABN Amro’s offshore business in the Americas and spearheaded the European sales strategy for its fund of hedge funds business, International Asset Management. Based in Ermitage’s London operation, Scanlon becomes a group executive director and reports to chief executive and chief investment officer Ian Cadby.

Harcourt Investment Consulting has promoted David Keel to head of business development for Europe and Claus Hilpold to head of business development for Germany and Austria. Before joining Harcourt in 2002 Keel, a Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, was investment advisor for Merrill Lynch in Zurich.

Hilpold joined Harcourt in 2004, having previously been a product manager for Commerzbank in the area of alternative investment strategies. A Chartered Financial Analyst, he also teaches at the Financial Academy of the European Business School of Östrich-Winkel.

ACP Capital, a merchant bank and asset manager focused on European small and medium sized enterprise markets has appointed Lyndon Miles as head of finance, responsible for the origination of non-investment grade debt opportunities. Miles, 43, has 10 years of UK and continental European debt market experience, most recently at Investec where he was responsible for establishing and managing Investec’s specialised lending division within its capital markets business.

SuperDerivatives, which provides a multi-asset derivatives platform for real time option pricing, independent revaluation, derivatives data, trading and risk management systems, has appointed Mark Wightman as vice-president for Asia Pacific sales, based at the firm’s regional headquarters in Singapore.

Wightman has 13 years of industry experience, most recently as managing director of SunGard’s Asia-Pacific trading and alternative investment solutions business, responsible for sales, business development and client support. He began his career with London Business School Financial Software for Derivatives, which later became Monis and was acquired by SunGard, ands has been active in Asia since 1995.
