DKR Capital appoints Roger Gordon as senior MD

DKR Capital Inc has appointed Roger Gordon as Senior Managing Director of DKR Wolf Point Management LP (DKR Wolf Point), a long/short, corporate credit and multi-strategy fund that invests

DKR Capital Inc has appointed Roger Gordon as Senior Managing Director of DKR Wolf Point Management LP (DKR Wolf Point), a long/short, corporate credit and multi-strategy fund that invests in a broad spectrum of capital structure instruments’.

In his new position, Mr Gordon, who has over twenty-five years experience in the securities industry, particularly in hedge fund investing and leveraged finance, will be focused on portfolio strategy and business development for DKR Wolf Point.  

He joins DKR having spent two years at Quarry Point Partners, where he was a Managing Member and the Co-Founder of the firm. Prior to this, Mr Gordon held senior roles at Banc One Capital Markets and at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he was the Head of Global High Yield Research and Strategy and played a pivotal role in building a top-ranking and pre-eminent institutional high yield research group.

From 1987 to 1998, Mr Gordon was a Managing Director and Principal at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and was one of the initial members of the firm’s leveraged finance group. From 1977 to 1985, he held positions at Dean Witter Reynolds and Buckingham Research Group, having begun his career at Pfizer Medical Systems in international marketing and finance, focusing on Latin America and Asia/Pacific markets. Mr Gordon obtained an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BSC Economics degree from Bradley University.
