Houston-based Pinnacle Alternative Investments, a third party marketing and business consulting firm for hedge fund managers, is launching its second hedge fund investor database product of the year, following on the heels of the introduction of its Emerging Manager Investor Database for hedge fund managers last March.

The Global Macro-CTA Investor Database consists of institutional investors that have invested in these strategies in the past and/or are currently looking to invest in hedge fund managers that offer these strategies.

Pinnacle launched this marketing resource predicated on a manager’s willingness to dedicate a measure of their time and marketing budget to getting their story out to investors in the institutional space.

The GMID consist of a focused database of targeted hedge fund investors and includes family offices, funds of hedge funds, endowments, wealth managers, private banks and other investors that have traditionally been open to allocating to global macro managers and commodity trading advisors.

Additionally, Pinnacle will offer its professional guidance on how best to employ the database and on a case-by-case basis, provide strategic introductions on behalf of qualified managers.

As with the first database launch, Pinnacle anticipates that most managers will interested in accessing an investor database that does not draw heavily on tight operating budgets and focuses on a specific strategy interest. The firm says this can give managers the impetus to move forward with a marketing plan offering improved prospects for future growth.

The Global Macro-CTA Investor Database will be made available only to hedge fund managers and commodity trading advisors deemed suitable given their historical trading performance, strategy and style, professional pedigree and business model profile.
