Advent Software, a leading provider of software and services to the global alternative investment management industry, has unveiled Geneva 7.0, which it says is a major technical and functional upgrade to the firm’s investment management, reporting and accounting platform used by asset managers, hedge funds, fund administrators and prime brokers.
The release of Geneva 7.0, Advent says, marks a significant leap forward in enabling investment managers to meet industry challenges through access to critical investment information regarding alternative investment strategies and complex instrument types that bridges the needs of front, middle and back offices.
According to the firm, Geneva 7.0 enables users to maximise investment opportunities and facilitate business growth while reducing costs and risk. New features include enhanced data access and workflow improvements as well as various functional enhancements. The new version also includes architecture enhancements to its platform, which has been extended to leverage Microsoft’s .NET 2.0 framework and SQL server reporting services.
