London-listed financial services group Collins Stewart plc has launched a stand-alone fund management business, Collins Stewart Fund Management, and has re-branded its wealth management business as Collins Stewart Wealth Management (CSWM).
Collins Stewart Fund Management offers two ranges of funds 1) Multi-Manager, and 2) Specialist. The group has 10 Multi-Manager funds - including Collins Stewart Absolute Return Plus Fund, a fund of hedge funds - managed by one of the largest multi-manager teams in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man, consisting of over 20 fund specialists.
Neil Darke, Head of Collins Stewart Wealth Management and Collins Stewart Fund Management says: 'The creation of a separate identity for Collins Stewart Fund Management is a significant step for us. For too long, we have hidden some excellent funds' stories. We believe now it is time we invested in this business.
'We have one of the UK's largest and most experienced multi-manager teams, with a long and successful track record of delivering returns in different market conditions, courtesy of our bias towards absolute total return. We are confident we can compete successfully in the currently popular multi-manager arena. We also believe we have something different to offer in our focused range of specialist funds.'
The launch of the fund management business is in parallel with the rebranding of Collins Stewart Wealth Management (CSWM), which employs over 200 staff in London, Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man. CSWM manages and administer in excess of GBP4.4bn of assets on behalf of valued private clients, intermediaries, charities and institutions through a range of investment services, including portfolio management, stockbroking and investment funds via an international network of offices.
