Financial advisory firm Lionhart Advisors Group has announced plans to launch the Lionhart Talon Private Equity Fund, a hybrid private equity master-feeder structure domiciled in the Cayman Islands.

The new fund will offers investors the opportunity to participate in up to nine segregated portfolios focusing on blended investment; minerals, mining and natural resources; property development; energy; alternative energy and the environment; IT and medical technology; mezzanine and bridge financing; ethical investment; and Shar’ia-compliant investments.

Unlike traditional private equity funds, Lionhart Talon will operate as an open-ended investment fund with monthly subscriptions and liquidity permitted between three and five years, depending on the share class held by the investor. Rather than relying on capital calls, Lionhart Talon will accept full payment from investors at the time of subscription and deploy assets to liquid investments as they are identified.

The investment manager is Talon Management, an affiliate of Lionhart Advisors Group. Legal counsel to the fund are Dechert and Maples & Calder. Administration is provided by Caledonian Fund Services (Cayman) and the auditor is Deloitte & Touche.

Established in 1993, Lionhart Investments is a multistrategy hedge fund manager with a strong track record in capital preservation. The firm’s management team led by founder Terry Duffy manages more than USD800m in assets across various strategies and funds.
