Horace Camp, a leading member of the Channel Islands fund industry who has served on the committees of the Guernsey Investment Fund Association and the Guernsey branch of the Securities and Investment Institute, has been appointed as an executive director of funds services firm Anson Group.

A formerly managing director of Kleinwort Benson's Guernsey fund administration business, Camp has extensive experience in fund administration and management, having been involved with the administration of a wide range of investment vehicles over the past 25 years.

He retains many non-executive directorships of locally domiciled investment funds and will continue to be actively involved in promoting the local fund industry as chairman of the Guernsey fund association's marketing sub-committee.

'I have been a fan of the Anson Group since its launch 10 years ago,' Camp says. 'As one of the few independently operated fund service companies in the Channel Islands, I was always envious of its ability to innovate and take strategic decisions quickly. 'My role includes developing strategic plans for the future growth of each underlying business beginning first with Anson Registrars. As a Crest registrar in both Guernsey and the UK, with outlets in Cayman and the British Virgin Islands, I see Anson Registrars becoming the favoured registrar for those companies preferring the personalised service only an independent group is able to provide.'
