LaCrosse implements SunGard's Front Arena for hedge fund administration
LaCrosse Global Fund Services has implemented SunGard's Front Arena cross-asset trading solution as part of its platform for pricing and analysing structured financial instruments held by fund administration clients.
LaCrosse uses SunGard's Front Arena to manage 10 instrument classes in four time zones, including the pricing of swaps and options in different time zones for multiple clients. According to SunGard, as well as providing independent valuation of positions, Front Arena provides the ability to model various trading strategies in real time.
'We deliver the information our clients need to manage their complex portfolios, including daily profit and loss and the valuation of global equities, fixed income, commodities, currencies, emerging markets and related derivatives,' says LaCrosse chief operating officer Kok-Ying Lee. 'SunGard's Front Arena helps us provide accurate P&L and valuations for all of these asset classes.'
Emanuel Mond, president of SunGard's alternative investment business, says: 'In an environment of increasing portfolio complexity, hedge funds must be able to value a wide range of instruments and asset classes. SunGard's Front Arena will help LaCrosse by providing pricing and analyses for a broad range of asset classes.'
SunGard's solutions for firms specialising in alternative investments support multiple asset classes and their derivatives, including equities, foreign exchange, interest rates, credit, commodities and convertibles.
Solutions include strategy-specific applications for convertible and capital structure arbitrage, global repo, stock finance and listed options trading. SunGard's straight-through processing solutions are designed to meet the trading, risk management, and investor and portfolio accounting requirements of single- and multi-strategy managers.
