Third-party hedge fund marketing firm Agecroft Partners has hired Wall Street veteran Tim Driscoll as a managing director with responsibilities that include assisting with due diligence on potential hedge fund clients and introducing hedge funds to large institutional investors in the north-east US and Canada.

Driscoll has 16 years of experience in institutional sales with firms including Prudential, Bank of America and ABN Amro, having previously played professional ice hockey in the Boston Bruins organisation.

‘Our business model is to introduce well-established hedge funds in a consultative manner to large institutional investors,’ says Agecroft’s managing partner Don Steinbrugge. ‘It is imperative that the members of our firm are highly technically competent.

‘Tim’s educational and professional experiences are very impressive. Furthermore, his knowledge of the hedge fund industry and securities markets should give him a lot of credibility with large institutional investors.’

Agecroft Partners was founded by Steinbrugge, previously a founding principal of Andor Capital Management and a managing director and head of institutional sales for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.
