SuperDerivatives introduces next generation FX platform
SuperDerivatives, a provider of derivatives pricing and multi-asset front-office systems, risk management, revaluation and online options trading solutions, has launched the next generation of its trading platform for the foreign exchange market.
Designed to answer growing market demand from the buy side and sell side for greater foreign exchange derivatives complexity and more efficient workflow, the new platform integrates pricing discovery, marketing, reporting and online execution.
SuperDerivatives says it will enable market professionals to trade high-margin exotic structures, including those featuring fourth-generation exotics, as easily and efficiently as vanilla FX options.
The platform is web-based and operates in real time for immediate implementation and scalability. It can be integrated into any information and trading architecture, connecting trading and sales desks, and interfacing with middle- and back-office systems, linking banks to their clients, reducing operational risk and facilitating faster trading.
The platform's enhancements apply to practically all types of FX instruments, SuperDerivatives says, from spot and forwards right to higher yield third- and fourth-generation options and correlation structures including cross-asset barriers, dual digitals and path-dependent baskets. The platform coverage spans more than 150 instrument types on more than 100 currency pairs, connecting counterparties across both developed and emerging markets.
'The FX derivatives market has evolved rapidly, while vanilla and first generation exotics have been commoditised and standardised, with corresponding shrinking margins,' says SuperDerivatives chief executive David Gershon. 'This year alone, more than 10 new exotic structures were added to the market and have become popular.
'Professionals are now looking for the ability to offer their clients the next generation of exotic FX options. We believe that our next generation functionality will further increase the volume of derivatives traded and contribute to the evolution of the market, acting as a catalyst for sustained growth.'
SuperDerivatives' products and services are used by companies from both the buy- and sell-side. Its real-time pricing platforms are used by banks throughout the world, as well as by corporations, asset managers, hedge funds, auditors and central banks in more than 60 countries. The company also provides risk management systems, an online trading platform, derivatives data and portfolio revaluation services that use its benchmark pricing model and independent global market data network.
