PerTrac Financial Solutions has appointed Jim Banks to the new role of managing director and global head of product management and development.
PerTrac Financial Solutions has appointed Jim Banks to the new role of managing director and global head of product management and development. He will oversee product roadmap strategy, software development, and quality assurance for the company’s growing line of integrated software applications, including the PerTrac Analytical Platform, PerTrac CMS and PerTrac Portfolio Manager.
Banks has more than 20 years of experience in software development and technology management, having recently been vice-president of product development at SAP, the world’s largest business software company. He has also held various development and management positions at financial industry technology provider Jack Henry & Associates, including manager of technology research.

The appointment of Banks as head of product management follows various recent product releases. Earlier this month, the company released PerTrac CMS 6.1, an updated version of its investment workflow management solution designed to help firms manage their contacts, communications, information, and documents.
March saw the release of PerTrac Reporting Studio, a new application featuring a user-friendly interface for creating graphically rich formatted investment reports. At the end of January, the company released PerTrac Portfolio Manager, a new application designed to help funds of funds and other institutional investors create, monitor and manage multi-manager alternative investment portfolios.
Founded in 1996, PerTrac Financial Solutions also offers the PerTrac Analytical Platform, used by more than 1,700 clients in 50 countries including banks, brokerage firms, consultants, plan sponsors, family offices, investment managers and funds of funds, while PerTrac CMS, a tool for managing client relationships and workflow associated with capital-raising, investor relations, and investment management, is used by nearly 300 alternative investment firms. The firm has headquarters in New York and offices in London, Hong Kong, Reno, Memphis and Tokyo.
