BarclayHedge and Global Fund Technologies have launched MyFundFinder.com, a capital introduction platform designed to match up hedge fund managers with institutional and high net worth investors.

The web-based platform, whose IT underpinnings have been developed by Global Fund Technologies, aims to provide hedge fund managers with a simple yet sophisticated capital raising tool as well as to help investors to conduct research on funds and enable them to contact managers online.

MyFundFinder.com enables investors to search data supplied by BarclayHedge on more than 1,900 hedge funds, funds of funds and managed futures funds to match funds with their investment needs. A customisable, Adobe Flex/Flash-based tool, it allows investors to navigate, filter and drill down to 122 data points.

'Investors will benefit from an enhanced level of transparency on a wide range of funds as well as the ability to create their own personal watch lists to follow the performance of funds in which they have interest,' says BarclayHedge president Sol Waksman. MyFundFinder.com offers alternative investment managers, who pay a membership fee to be listed on the site, exposure to investors who can contact them directly. Managers also receive statistics on aggregate platform usage and industry peer comparisons.

MyFundFinder.com also provides access to hedge fund asset flow reports and insights on industry trends produced monthly by Trim Tabs Investment Research and BarclayHedge. Additional features include industry discussion forums and fund launch information.
