London-based investment management consultancy Laven Partners has appointed Kevin Quinlan, who earlier worked for the enforcement division of the UK’s Financial Services Authority, as a director.

Quinlan, who joins from IMS Consulting and has more than 14 years’ experience in compliance will focus at Laven Partners on FSA authorisation, fund set-up and compliance controls.

‘Kevin’s experience covers law, tax and consulting which, combined with his FSA background, matches the broad range of services we offer,’ says Laven Partners managing director Jerome Lussan (photo).

‘His credentials mean he has a deep understanding of the regulatory framework that affects fund management companies. He will be a valuable addition to our team and his expertise will help us strengthen and develop our client services.’

Says Quinlan: ‘Laven Partners appealed to me because of the complete solution it offers, incorporating risk management and compliance controls as well as legal advice through the group law firm. I look forward to participating in the company’s development in the years to come.’

The Laven Group, which has 15 employees at offices in London, Geneva and Barbados, offers consultancy services including fund structuring, tax, legal and compliance as well as distribution and advisory services to fund managers and investors.
