Topos, an alternative asset manager and investor, has launched an independent risk advisory and monitoring service for hedge funds and hedge fund investors.
The service, led by Marc Groz, managing member of Topos, is designed to help managers and investors identify danger zones within their portfolios and operations.
‘Recent disastrous market events have made risk management more critical today than ever before. In part, this is because of the increased correlation during the crisis between asset classes and strategies,’ says Groz.
‘In my experience, investors often don’t have the transparency they need to fully understand their portfolios and ensure they are properly hedged. Increasingly, investors are going to insist on greater transparency and truly effective risk management.’
The new service will encompass both analysis and monitoring components.
