Christian Klapproth leaves Eurex Bonds and Eurex Repo
Eurex Repo and Eurex Bonds have announced changes in the management team of both companies.
The current general manager of Eurex Bonds and Eurex Repo, Christian Klapproth, has decided to leave Deutsche Börse Group at the end of 2008.
His successor will be Laurent Ortiz, who has been working in various positions at Deutsche Börse since the beginning of 2001. At present, he is heading the representative office of Deutsche Börse in Paris.
Ortiz will be appointed general manager of Eurex Bonds and Eurex Repo with effect as of 1 January 2009, subject to approval of the relevant bodies.
Peter Reitz, a member of the Eurex executive board, says: 'Laurent Ortiz is an experienced successor who will continue the successful establishment and expansion of our financial services companies in the segments of bonds and repo trading.'
Klapproth has been working for Deutsche Börse Group since 1995. In 2002, he took over as general manager of Eurex Bonds, and in 2006 joined the management of Eurex Repo. As of 2009, Klapproth will be working as a freelance project manager and consultant.
