Industry experts and advisers from the Managed Funds Association, Ernst & Young and Bingham McCutchen are to discuss key considerations for alternative investment managers at a seminar to be hosted by hedge fund and investment firm IT services provider Eze Castle.

The seminar on 28 May will cover issues such as economic turmoil, regulatory uncertainty and changing investor demands.

Eze Castle’s panel will provide their opinions and real-world perspectives on issues confronting fund managers daily.

Stuart Kaswell (pictured), executive vice president and managing director, general counsel for Managed Funds Association, will provide the view from Capitol Hill. He will discuss possible tax implications, as well as the possibility of buy-side telephone conversation recording.

Rich Goldman, partner at Bingham McCutchen, will address anticipated regulatory changes and the impact they will have on technology and data requirements, including data privacy.

Dan New, senior manager, advisory practice of Ernst & Young, will guide attendees through the steps needed to operationalize and implement compliance and risk programs.

Bob Guilbert, managing director of Eze Castle Integration, will moderate and provide insight to the technology needed to support the upcoming changes and strategies for doing so in a cost-effective manner.
