NYSE Euronext aligns European and US cash equities businesses

NYSE Euronext is making a series of management changes that aim to further align the company’s European and US cash trading and listings businesses. 

Duncan L. Niederauer (pictured), NYSE Euronext chief executive officer, says the new organisational structure "better serves our customers and our strategic business objectives in a very challenging and increasingly competitive business environment."

Roland Bellegarde, group executive vice president and member of the management committee, assumes responsibility for the company’s European and international (non-Americas) listing businesses. Bellegarde will continue to oversee European cash trading.

Cees Vermaas, who until now has led the NYSE Euronext sales effort in Europe, has been named executive vice president and head of European cash markets with responsibility for the company’s European cash trading business, including equities, fixed income, operations, IT projects and business development. Vermaas continues to report to Bellegarde.

Lisa Dallmer has been appointed executive vice president, exchange-traded products and indices. She reports to Bellegarde for European activities and to Lawrence Leibowitz, group executive vice president and head of US execution and global technology, for US operations.

Christine Sandler has been named executive vice president of global sales, which encompasses sales and relationship management for cash trading in both Europe and the US. Sandler reports to both Bellegarde and Leibowitz.in Europe and the US, respectively.
