RWC Partners says it has seen strong demand for the funds managed by its multi-asset team, raising well over USD2bn since launch in early 2007.
The funds are managed by Miles Geldard (pictured) and Lee Manzi who joined from JPMorgan Asset Management.
RWC Strategic Reserve and RWC Global Convertibles are Ucits III Sicavs that were launched in January 2007.
RWC Strategic Reserve builds on a low volatility absolute return style of investing that Miles has used since 1998. The fund aims to generate a return of cash three per cent over the market cycle and has generated positive returns in approximately 85 per cent of months since its inception.
Global Convertibles is a long-only convertible bond fund that has significantly outperformed the convertible bond index (UBS Global Focus) over that period.
RWC Strategic Opportunities was launched in July 2007 as a higher return, less constrained version of Strategic Reserve. Since inception the fund has produced a positive return of approximately 16 per cent.
Earlier this year, RWC Partners launched the RWC Distressed Convertible Bond Fund to take advantage of the pricing anomalies that had developed in the convertible bond asset class in 2008.
