New York-based hedge fund and private equity firm Signal Capital Management has formally concluded a joint venture agreement with an affiliate of FSU, a Seattle-based boutique quantitative trading and technology firm.
FSU and its affiliates trade forex markets globally, using a suite of 11 proprietary mathematical algorithms. All trading is entirely computer-driven. FSU is also moving its technology platform into the commodity futures markets.
Signal and FSU will share equally in the joint venture, with Signal introducing funds on a separately-managed account platform from its own funds under management, as well as from third party investors. Signal will also provide administrative support to the joint venture.
FSU will provide the technology platform and will conduct trading operations.
