Capstone Global Markets has hired two senior professionals: Timothy Freeman and Leonard Ellis.
The two bring experience to the firm’s volatility trading and risk management platform.
The firm has officially changed its name from Capstone Sales Advisors to Capstone Global Markets.
Capstone Global Markets is an affiliate of Capstone Holdings Group, a financial services firm that specialises in and supports the trading of volatility as an asset class. The global volatility trading strategies of Capstone Global Markets span equities, commodities, currencies, credit and fixed income.
Freeman joins Capstone Global Markets as head of US equity derivatives sales after a 13 year career at Merrill Lynch. Starting as a sales trader in municipal markets, Freeman transferred to equity derivatives sales at Merrill Lynch where he rose to managing director.
Ellis joins as head of capital markets to expand the range of clients, products and markets. He is exploring complementary sales and trading capabilities including interest rates, commodities, convertible bonds, credit and foreign exchange brokerage.
Prior to Capstone, Ellis was head of equity derivatives for the Americas at Citigroup where he worked for over eight years managing the equity derivatives sales, trading, structuring, market making and research platforms. Previously, he worked at Bankers Trust for nine years managing equity derivatives trading and structuring for North America.
