Sophis appoints area sales director for Switzerland and Luxembourg

Sophis, a provider of cross-asset, front-to-back portfolio and risk management solutions, has appointed René Flor as area sales director for Switzerland and Luxembourg.

Flor has 15 years’ experience of the investment management industry, especially in the areas of wealth and asset management, investment compliance and risk management.

Flor joins Sophis from Odyssey Financial Technologies, where he was in charge of new business for Southern Europe. Previous roles include director of international sales for software solution company Aquin Components; chief executive of YoPass; managing director of Global WebTrade; and management partner at Consultec.

Younes Guemouri, chief operating officer of Continental Europe at Sophis, says: “We are very pleased to welcome René to the team. He brings excellent local knowledge of the investment management industry in Switzerland and Luxembourg, which are both flourishing centres of business for Sophis. René is extremely well-connected and will help us build our business in the region still further.”

Flor says: “Sophis is growing quickly across the world year-on-year and it is an excellent time to join the team. I look forward to taking on the role of new business development at Sophis and to being part of that success.”
