Opus Fund Services, a hedge fund administration firm, has opened an office in the heart of San Francisco’s financial district.
The office will initially focus on client relationship management and business development.
"Fund administration is rapidly becoming a critical component in the relationship between managers, their investors and their capital raising efforts," says Opus president Stephen Giannone. "Our new San Francisco office is an exciting opportunity to continue to develop the Opus brand directly into the west coast market."
The office will be led by the director of west coast sales, Greg Knapp. He has previously worked in a senior management role at Financial Interactive (acquired by SS&C Technologies in 2006) and most recently in business development roles at Conifer Securities and Spectrum Global Fund Administration.
Knapp says: "I’m very excited for the opportunity to work with Opus and to introduce its cutting edge technology and SAS 70 compliant process to the west coast hedge fund community. I’ve known Steve for several years and look forward to building out our operations here in San Francisco."
