Partners Capital, a London and Boston based private investment office, has appointed Ethan Hall as director of research and Sean Farrell as an investment principal.
Hall was previously head of investment research at Centaur Financial Services, a USD100m fund management company he founded in 1995, which manages individually tailored portfolios for high net worth individuals and institutions.
Prior to founding Centaur Financial Services, Hall was a management consultant for Bain.
Farrell joins the team from 3i Quoted Private Equity, a 3i Group business which invests in public companies through negotiated transactions.
Prior to joining 3i, Farrell was a director at TDR Capital, a EUR2.1bn European private equity company, where his team handled transaction types such as controlled buyouts, public-to-privates including distressed debt situations and structured partnerships. He also served as Vice President of TPG Capital, an investment group that manages USD45bn of capital across several funds.
