EFX Prime Services appoints hedge fund team

EFX Prime Services, a division of First New York Securities, has appointed its hedge fund client service team.

The team is comprised of operations and trading experts from First New York Securities and new hires that complete the EFX Prime service offering.

Mario Maugeri has been named director of operations. He joined First New York in 1995 and oversees operations and manages relationships with all clearing firms.

Glen Mauriello is manager domestic operations. He joined First New York in 2007 and has 22 years’ experience most recently as director of clearing operations at LaBranche Financial Services.

Peter Lombardo, operations specialist, joined First New York in 2000. Lombardo oversees managed accounts and all external allocations via EFX Capital.

Nick Mancuso, operations specialist, joined First New York in 2008. He has 16 years of experience in operations and trade support.

For electronic trading/direct market access, Brandt Mandia has been named managing director: He joined First New York in 2008 with the acquisition of Spartan Technologies. Mandia oversees EFXtrade, EFX Prime’s proprietary DMA platform. Mandia has over 15 years of brokerage and trading experience.

Sal Martorano, managing director, joined First New York in 2008 with the acquisition of Spartan Technologies. Martorano oversees EFXtrade. Martorano has over 15 years of brokerage and trading experience.

In client service, Geoffrey Webster has been hired as a director. He joined EFX Prime in 2010 with over ten years of institutional sales and trading experience including roles at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.

Christine Nastro, director, joined First New York in 2008 from Spartan Technologies. Nastro has over 15 years experience in the brokerage and trading industries.
