2100 Xenon Group, a Chicago-based commodity trading adviser, has appointed E. Bruce Mumford as director of marketing and client services.

He reports to Jay Feuerstein (pictured), chief executive officer.

Mumford is responsible for developing and executing the firm’s global institutional and retail marketing strategies and for client relations.

Prior to joining 2100 Xenon, Mumford was founder and managing partner of Mumford Capital Partners, a financial services consulting and advisory firm founded in 2004. His client base included global investment banks, futures commission merchants, proprietary trading groups, hedge funds and private equity firms.

Previously, he was president and chief executive of ABN Amro Inc. He was also an executive vice president of ABN Amro Clearing and Execution Services.

Prior to joining ABN Amro in 1995, he was a managing director at Bank of America, where he co-headed financial engineering and project finance advisory units, and built a portfolio of structured fixed income and private equity investments.

“Bruce has extensive experience working with a wide range of institutional investors, and has a strong background in alternative investments,” says Feuerstein. “He is especially well positioned to help institutional investors understand how our managed futures strategies can enhance their total portfolio.”

“I am delighted to join Jay and his team at 2100 Xenon,” adds Mumford. “I have had client relationships with a large number of hedge funds and commodity trading advisers over the past ten years, and I have been impressed with 2100 Xenon’s strategy and performance. The business is perfectly positioned for substantial growth.”
