Deutsche Bank has added Doug Kline to its global prime finance business within the global markets division as a managing director and head of hedge fund consulting.

Kline is based in New York and reports to Pam Kiernan, managing director and global head of business development, and Scott Carter, managing director and head of global prime finance sales and capital introduction in North America.

In this role, Kline will oversee the continued expansion of global prime finance’s hedge fund consulting practice, which advises existing and start-up hedge fund managers on the infrastructure and processes required to support human and investment capital.

Kline joined Deutsche Bank from Viking Global Investors, where he was a partner and the chief information officer. Kline joined Viking at its inception and oversaw all technology systems, programming efforts, data collection and analysis as the firm developed.

John Budzyna remains a senior strategic adviser to global prime finance management and its key clients. Budzyna joined Deutsche Bank in 2007, and has over 30 years of experience managing the hedge fund practices at two public accounting firms, as president of a hedge fund administration firm and general consulting for significant hedge funds.

“We are pleased to offer our hedge fund clients the opportunity to draw upon the advice of industry veterans such as Doug and John,” says Barry Bausano, managing director and co-head of global prime finance.
