OGI and Triple A Partners team up to offer alt investments to Japanese investors

Triple A Partners and OGI Capital Partners have teamed up to offer global alternative investments to Japanese institutional investors.

Under their joint-venture, Triple A Partners and OGICP will work together to make an extensive line-up of global alternative investment opportunities available to the Japanese investor community.

OGICP is a Japan-based Discretionary Investment Manager, and it is managing and offering its own alternative investment strategies. Triple A Partners is a Hong Kong based global alternative investment placement and seeding specialist.

The parties plan to a range of ‘best-in-class’ alternative investment funds from around the globe to Japanese investors, including pension funds.

“Our clients are facing challenges in realizing their targeted investment returns to support the pension portfolios and other funds that they manage," says Hideyuki Fred Omokawa (pictured), President of OGI Capital Partners. "For OGICP, the clients always come first, and we are looking forward to serving them jointly with the resources of Triple A Partners. We believe that the staff, experience and network of Triple A Partners will be invaluable in ensuring the success of our clients.”

Hans Tiedemann, Chairman of Triple A Partners, adds: “This is a very exciting development for our business. While many hedge fund distributors have closed operations around the globe, or have specifically reduced activity levels in Japan, Triple A Partners has remained focused on the opportunities in Japan. Triple A Partners has broad experience in working with hedge fund managers from around the globe. We have gained invaluable experience in this domain since launching our business at the beginning of 2007.

“Our timing in forming this alliance could not be better. It has been a long time since there has been such a range of talented managers looking for capital in Japan.  At the same time, there is a shortage of global distribution platforms to supply appropriate investment funds.  We look forward to working closely with the team at OGI Capital Partners and to accessing the sophisticated investors in Japan.”
