London-based Gottex Fund Management is preparing to launch a Fund of Ucits III Funds using a SICAV structure. Entitled the Gottex Absolute Return Fund, it will seek out a variety of investment strategies with low sensitivity to major stock and fixed income market indices, giving investors regular liquidity and daily NAV. According to GFM Head of Corporate Communications, Andre Keijsers: “We are currently busy passporting the fund to Germany, UK, Switzerland, Austria and Italy.” With a Ucits wrapper, hedge funds registered in their home state have the right to be marketed across all European Economic Area member states. Hedgeweek understands that Gottex will look to invest in 20 – 30 Ucits hedge funds, with Keijsers adding that “more information (investment strategy, objectives) will be provided once the passporting process has been completed.”
