Highbridge Capital Management names Todd Builione President

Highbridge Capital Management has appointed Todd Builione, the firm’s Chief Operating Officer, as President and Chief Operating Officer. Builione joined Highbridge in 2005 as the firm’s first Head of Corporate Strategy and was promoted in 2009 to Chief Operating Officer.

As President and COO, Mr. Builione will continue to drive the development of new investment strategies and key strategic initiatives, serve as a face of the firm to its clients and counterparties, and lead Highbridge’s institutional quality organisational infrastructure. In addition to the role of President, a new position at Highbridge, Builione is a member of the Highbridge Board of Managers, the Executive Committee and the Hedge Fund Investment Committee, and he is the Chairman of the Operating Committee.

Prior to joining Highbridge, Builione worked in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs, where he provided financial and strategic advice to executives of financial services companies, with particular focus on investment management businesses. Builione serves on the Board of Directors of the Managed Funds Association and Harlem RBI. He is a member of the Advisory Council of Cornell University’s Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management and a member of the Harvard Law School Association. Builione earned his JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School and his BS, summa cum laude, from Cornell University, where he was named a Merrill Presidential Scholar.
