Impact Investments Partners AG, the parent company of Blue Diamond Asset Management AG, has hired Tobias Mueller as Head of European Business Development.

Mueller is based in Wollerau, Switzerland and joins from Grantham, Mayo & Van Otterloo (GMO) where he was responsible for business development and client relations activities in Switzerland.  Prior to that, he worked for UBS AG in Group Internal Audit.  Mueller earned his MSc in Business and Economics from the University of Bern, Switzerland, and is a CFA charterholder.

Impact Investment Partners provides marketing, operations, IT support and other critical non-investment functions to its wholly-owned asset management boutiques – Blue Diamond Asset Management and Environmental Alpha.  This allows the boutiques to focus on delivering strong investment performance.  Blue Diamond was launched in March 2011 and aims to maximize returns above inflation, in investors’ designated currency.

Mueller says: “Impact has built a business model where investors’ interests are aligned with its own, in everything from the fair fee structure to enabling the investment boutiques to concentrate on managing assets. I was keen to join a business that seeks to understand what investors in different locations need and to develop and deliver genuine solutions to their challenges and concerns.  From my experience, investors want to work with managers that emphasize transparency in everything they do, that listen and understand their local needs.”

Angelo Calvello, CEO of Impact Investments Partners LLP, says: “Tobias’ business development expertise and broad network of industry contacts will bring immense value to both Impact and Blue Diamond.  We look forward to working with him to deliver the highest standards of client service and to ensure the investment strategies we offer truly meet the needs of European investors.”
