New advocate in Carey Olsen’s corporate team

Related Topics

Carey Olsen senior associate David Crosland (pictured) was called to the Guernsey Bar last month having passed his Bar exams to become an advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey.

Crosland is a member of Carey Olsen’s corporate group where he undertakes a wide range of corporate transactions, with a particular focus on private equity, and the launch, administration, restructuring and listing of both closed and open-ended investment funds.  As well as private equity funds, he has advised funds listed on the LSE, AIM, Euronext and the CISX.

Prior to joining Carey Olsen in 2007, Crosland trained at Clifford Chance in London, qualifying as an English solicitor in the Private Funds Group in 2004. There he specialised in the establishment of institutional closed-ended investment funds, particularly private equity, real estate and infrastructure funds.

Graham Hall, partner and head of the corporate group, says: “We congratulate David on becoming an advocate which is the result of his hard work and commitment. Carey Olsen’s corporate group is the market leading legal team for advising on funds domiciled in Guernsey and the continued growth and development of our corporate practice, which includes the training and development of our lawyers, will help to enable our team to maintain its dominant position.”
