Mulvaney Capital appoints Dudley Fishburn as Chairman

Mulvaney Capital Management has appointed Dudley Fishburn (pictured) as Non-Executive Chairman. Fishburn has broad experience in corporate governance across the world having served on the Board of HSBC Bank plc from 2002 to 2009 and is currently a director of Philip Morris International Inc.

 

He also has served on the Board of Overseers of Harvard University and was a Member of Parliament for Kensington from 1988 to 1997.  Previously he had been Executive Editor of The Economist for nine years.
 
Given a longstanding interest in higher education, he chairs the Visiting Committee to the Cambridge University Library and is on the Council of the University of Reading and the International Advisory Board of the Centre for the Advanced Study of India at the University of Pennsylvania . He is currently Chairman of Henderson ’s Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc and of a private IT company, Bluecube Technology Ltd. 
 
Fishburn will bring to Mulvaney a strong sense of the international understanding that defines both our clients and our investment strategy.

Fishburn’s appointment follows that of Mary Jo Jacobi last year as non-executive director. Jacobi also has substantial experience in the private and public sectors on both sides of the Atlantic, having served as a senior appointee for two US presidents and as a senior executive at Royal Dutch Shell and HSBC Holdings among others.
