With over 17 years of experience, McDougall joins Bank of America Merrill Lynch from Morgan Stanley where he was executive director of Financing Arbitrage. Based in London, McDougall will oversee the sourcing and facilitation of stock distribution and the ongoing development of client relationships.

In addition, Martin Donnelly has joined from Credit Suisse as a director and European head of Hedge Fund Consulting and Simon Key has joined from Credit Suisse as a director within the Synthetic Equity Sales team. Donnelly reports to James Lamont, head of the EMEA Hedge Funds Sales team, and Key reports to James Orme-Smith, head of the EMEA GMF&F Synthetic Equity Sales team.

“We provide clients with a full suite of services across the financing spectrum, coordinated under one umbrella,” says John Addis, head of EMEA Global Markets Financing and Futures. “As we win mandates and grow balances we have continued to invest in talent along the way which has helped us meet hedge fund and investor client demand for our financing, prime brokerage and futures products and services. Attracting professionals of this quality and in these numbers is testament to the momentum we have as a business.”

“Daniel, Ross, Martin and Simon join the team with excellent credentials and we’re extremely pleased to have attracted individuals of their calibre,” adds Sean Capstick, managing director and co-head of EMEA Prime Brokerage. “Collectively they bring with them extensive knowledge of the market which will be vital as we look to firmly establish our Prime Brokerage team as one of the best in the industry.”
