Risk Management Gateway, the pre-trade risk management service offered by NYSE Technologies, the global technology arm of NYSE Euronext, has now gone live for customers trading on the Singapore Exchange (SGX). The service allows member-sponsored traders to directly match SGX’s matching engines. RMG provides real-time risk controls and detailed order management capabilities to complement any exchange level risk checks used by traders. Users will benefit from low-latency market data and full trade anonymity: a key consideration for block trading. Having gone live in Singapore, NYSE Technologies plan on expanding RMG into other execution venues in Asia including Tokyo and Hong Kong. The focus on Asian markets moving towards more high-speed trading reflects interest from NYSE Technologies’ existing client base commented the firm’s Vice President, Peter Tierney (pictured). “We are pleased to offer a core set of services that improve access to key markets like SGX,” said Tierney.
