360 Global Capital, a New York-based hedge fund advisor has launched an onshore UCITS version of its equity l/s fund reported HFMWeek this week. The Dublin-domiciled fund – HFR-360 UCITS Fund – is to be hosted on the UCITS platform established by HFR Asset Management. Enrique Abeyta, who founded 360 Global Capital in late 2007, is the fund’s portfolio manager, noting that the strategy has a “proven track record of generating alpha and preserving capital in down markets”. The fund will trade using a global remit and focus both on long and short opportunities in the markets. According to BarclayHedge, as of end-June the fund had USD40million in AUM. The fund has no lock-up and offers investors weekly liquidity.
