Saemor appoints investor relations manager

Netherlands-based hedge fund Saemor Capital has appointed Erwin de Kleijn (pictured) as Investor Relations Manager.

De Kleijn has worked in similar roles in the hedge fund industry, most recently at Finles Capital Management, where he developed a number of tailor-made hedge fund solutions for institutional clients. Previous employers include NIBC and ING Investment Management, where he also serviced institutional investors.

Saemor Capital is a specialist in quantitative investment management, focused on absolute return generation. The company was founded in 2008 with the backing of insurance company AEGON as a cornerstone investor. The investment team is made up of award-winning equity managers with vast experience in European equities.

The Saemor Europe Alpha Fund is a market-neutral fund, using quantitative strategies for stock selection. Current AuM stand at USD650 million. The fund is domiciled onshore and the manager is regulated by the Dutch Financial Services Regulator.
