BNP Paribas Securities Services announced this week news that it had won a new mandate from Duemme International Luxembourg, the asset management arm of Banca Esperia Group, to produce its Key Investor Information Document. The KIID became a legal requirement for investment companies selling funds in the EU under UCITS IV in July 2011, and at two pages long, it is supposed to communicate all key aspects of the fund clearly to investors in the native language into which it is being marketed. Duemme selected BNP Paribas to handle KIID production for it SICAV commencing Q1 2012. It was chosen thanks to the modular, and thereby flexible nature of its KIID solution, with Fabio Ventola, COO of Duemme International quoted as saying: “Investors want clear, concise information as a base on which they can make informed decisions, and we are pleased to have chosen BNP Paribas Securities Services to help in that capacity.” “We’re pleased that Duemme has entrusted us with their KIID requirement. With this critical business function now under our responsibility, they can focus on their core business of managing their clients’ assets,” commented Margaret Harwood-Jones (pictured), BNP Securities Services’ Head of client segments – asset managers & alternatives. She added that this new mandate underlined the firm’s commitment to “helping clients navigate the complex regulatory terrain”.
